Professor Yutaka Kagawa gave a guest lecture entitled “Extremely Large Room Temperature Strain Tolerant Mechanism Of Ceramics” at the Materials Research Meeting 2019 “Materials Innovation for Sustainable Development Goals” held from December 10th to 14th, 2019. He presented findings on damage phenomena in ceramics, which lay the groundwork for understanding the mechanical characteristics of ceramic matrix composites (CMC), as well as research into new nanosized ceramic materials.
