Establishment of the Digital Twin Center at the Katayanagi Advanced Research Institute

Tokyo University of Technology will establish a Digital Twin Center at the Katayanagi Advanced Research Institute as part of its collaborative undertaking with Nippon Engineering College (NEEC) and Nippon Engineering College of Hachioji (NEEC) as of June 1, 2023.
“Digital twin” refers to a new technology that aims for higher efficiency and value creation in various fields, such as construction, manufacturing, and urban planning, by reproducing real space into virtual space in high fidelity, where information is exchanged bilaterally. This burgeoning technology has recently been making remarkable progress in terms of technological development and implementation in the field of entertainment, opening up a new horizon of fusion with conventional engineering. As a new genre of science and technology, it calls for and benefits from collaboration among researchers and developers with diverse backgrounds, which is essential for cultivating any untrodden field.
We at the Digital Twin Center are pledged to pursue our challenge toward a new future.

Objectives of the Twin Digital Center
