Reliability Assessment Methodology for Advanced Ceramic Matrix Composites（CMCs）

In this R&D project, we will take a leadership role in developing a new methodology to guarantee high reliability in the use of CMC, capitalizing on their excellent damage tolerance.

In recent years, TUT has been conducting research on guaranteeing CMC’s high reliability in collaboration with a European group of major academic and corporate research institutions led by Birmingham University and an American group of major research institutions led by UCLA, as well as JUTEM, Co., Ltd. and JFCA . It now aims to bring it to a new level of international recognition in the form of a global standard.
